I traveled to Boise Idaho this weekend to visit the family. It was so nice and warm with everything starting to bloom. I woke up on Saturday to a sore throat, and again on Sunday. My mom thought it might just be allergies. I have never had allergy problems before so I blew it off. I was off work on Monday and started to feel worse. I woke up Tuesday morning with no voice and a headache. I called in sick and made a doctor's appointment. I wouldn't normally go to the doctor, but I will be running my first 5k on Saturday and need to be healthy. Elisa and the kids have had ear infections and strep throat, so I wanted to make sure I did not have either. I paid my $20 co-pay and got the standard "I think it is just viral." Oh, and my doctor thinks it might be allergies. I should just listen to mom and save the 20 bucks. I was back to work today, a little tired and still without a voice, but feeling better. I better be ready for the big run on Saturday!
